ECKey is a Bluetooth design and development company that enables any Bluetooth device to act as a secure key to unlock your car, house, garage door, office, alarms system, or access control system. You can even use it to pay for your coffees. Our intellectual property is the software and electronics installed in the electronic lock. Our business model is to license our core technology to global companies servicing major vertical markets, and to sell finished products to smaller second tier markets.

The company was founded in 2005. Dr Nick Willis, Director and CEO, identified a growing need for divergent innovative mobile applications for the ever present mobile phone.

Through a strong investment commitment to research and development, ECKey is working to expand the potential for solutions in multiple markets across the globe.

Originally founded as Resonance Systems, the company changed its name in 2007 to ECKey.
